Mr. Bretton's greatest strength is in his ability to define, communicate, and sell an organization's value proposition; employing an approach that builds dialogue, creates value, and ultimately delivers relationships to an organization. Beginning with a two year internship as a reporter (and radio show host) for CBS news, Mr. Bretton is attracted to, and has excelled within, information-rich, information-intensive, and information-dependent industries.
Prior to joining SBCC Group, Mr. Bretton was Marketing Manager for TUV Rheinland Group of North America. During his career, he has worked for, and consulted with, many Fortune 100 companies including Citigroup, Prudential, IBM, State Farm Insurance, BMW, and Arbitration Forums Inc. While at Arbitration Forums, he was successful in 'consumerizing' the concept of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) which was later adopted and popularized in mainstream media; most notably the 'Peoples Court' television show.
As a sales and marketing consultant, Mr. Bretton developed recruitment strategies for Prudential Real Estate, and for Sunrise Assisted Living resulting in double digit growth in census figures (Sunrise), and over-achievement of goals for Prudential's agent recruitment campaign.
Mr. Bretton has an BBA and MBA from the Robert O. Anderson School of Management, is a certified mediator, and a free-lance writer. He is also certified as an RCFE Administrator (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) in the State of California and also holds certification in both Basic and Advanced Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
